Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the job:

1. Incident free operations, adherence to INEOS Styrolution SHE guidelines, Compliance with local regulations.

  • Participate in the program for Behavior Based Safety Observation and near-miss.
  • Participate and develop safety culture at site and drive for incident free operation.
  • Plan and implement with SHE KPIs and Targets set.
  • Participate with Asset Care program.
  • Follow and practice site procedures aligned with INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs) and INSTY Guidelines.
  • Follow and practice Life Saving Rules at site.
  • Follow and practice Permit to work as per the site procedure.
  • Follow and practice Management of Change as per the site procedure.
  • Conduct/ participate in PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) at site as per procedure.
  • Participate in and follow up with safety audit such as PSM, BS10, PS10 etc.
  • Comply to legal regulations.
  • Participate to perform action items to implement INEOS Styrolution Sustainability program at site.
  • Plan and drive ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard Certification for potential energy savings.

2. Process Management

  • Monitor utility and CCA (Chemical Compound Additives) consumption including utility flow meter reading error to reduce loss.
  • Manage process operation historical data, technical data book and drawings.
  • Manage MOC records and Process Safety Information.
  • Manage PI (Plant Information) system and standard version to monitor process condition.
  • Review operation guide to define optimum operation condition.
  • Review yearly budget and basis: off spec. target based on production historical data, unit consumption ratio of utility and CCA.
  • Analyze process condition for troubleshooting of process upset and equipment trouble.
  • Review TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation) for equipment or subsidiary materials of process.
  • Coordinate energy survey by external agency every 5 years.
  • Communicate with feedstock and utility supplier plant.
  • PR and GR in for feedstock, utility / Month end in SAP for feedstock, chemical and scrap.

3. Process development and improvement

  • Review technology of new process and equipment with R&T (Research & Technology) and equipment supplier.
  • Review the DoE for trial runs on applying new raw materials to the process.
  • Review production of new polymer in process with R&T.
  • Plan and validate ISO50001 Energy Management Standard Certification for potential energy savings.
  • Lead Manufacturing cost and energy saving initiatives.

4. Plant performance report

  • Review and report monthly Operations KPI and Monthly Report.
  • Review and report monthly TCR.
  • Review and report meeting agenda for process with back data requested from management.
  • Review 5yr round Energy survey report with a contracted consultant company.

Level of education & knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering only
  • Good speaking and writing in English
  • Knowledge of equipment trouble analysis methodology of Root cause analysis, RBI, Asset management, Mechanical Integrity, PHA
  • Use of PIMS (Process Information Monitoring System), Engineering tools
  • 10 years’ experience as a process engineer in petrochemical industry

Technical skills:

  • Good knowledge and understanding for chemical process / engineering / equipment technology
  • Use of PIMS (Process Information Monitoring System), Engineering tools, SAP
  • Proficient utilization skills of MS office
