Job Summary

The Cardiac Rehab Team Leader in coordination with the Manager: Develops implements, evaluates, and monitors programs and services to meet the needs of Cardiac Rehab clients. Responsible for creating and maintaining an optimal environment for the testing, training and education of clients and overall coordination of Outpatient

Cardiac Rehab with the Manager of Cardiac Rehab. The Cardiac Rehab Team Leader will use evidence-based practice when providing direct patient care. Supervises Cardiac Rehab Nurses and Exercise Physiologists. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience

  • Nursing license from an accredited program, OR Bachelors Degree in Exercise related field such as exercise science, sports medicine, exercise physiology, etc. required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in cardiac nursing or cardiac rehab required
  • 2-3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Compact, multi-state RN license
  • CPR provider certification required
  • ACLS required if an RN
  • Cardiovascular certification or ACSM preferred but not required.
