As an Advanced Package Development Engineer at Nokia, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge technologies for next-generation products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Lead the development of key enabling technologies for next-generation products, focusing on innovation and performance.

  • Design and engineer models and analyses for mechanical, thermal, or optical components.
  • Create proof-of-concept test vehicles to validate design strategies and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate solid models, drawings, and design flexibility matrices.
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) to ensure reliability in parts and assemblies.
  • Develop and implement design verification testing plans and engineering work orders for initial builds.
  • Engage with suppliers to explore emerging technologies and establish specifications for sourcing components.
  • Communicate effectively across diverse teams and locations to align project goals and progress.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You have:

  • MS/PHD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Optics
  • 10+ years of experience in related fields
  • Proficiency in Pro/Engineer / Creo or SolidWorks
  • Expertise in mechanical, thermal, or optical design

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with ANSYS or Zemax
  • Knowledge of SQL and Agile methodologies
  • Strong background in statistical analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
