Join the Nexus Horizontal Axis Washer Team as a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Sr AME) and take the lead in delivering state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and equipment for our new product introductions (NPI). This highly collaborative role will have you working cross-functionally across engineering, design, quality, procurement, operations, and more to bring best-in-class appliances to life.

As a Sr AME, you’ll manage large-scale capital equipment projects from concept to installation, while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. You'll also coach junior engineers, influence product design for manufacturability, and be a key player in driving lean manufacturing and automation innovations across the value stream.

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Lead capital equipment projects including specifications, supplier selection, layouts, installation, and qualification—ensuring optimal OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Serve as the voice of manufacturing during NPI projects, balancing quality, labor, budget, and delivery metrics.
  • Design and develop robust metal fabrication and assembly processes with an eye on safety, operator ergonomics, and lean flow.
  • Integrate manufacturing standards (MCPs/MCIs), DFMA, GD&T, and EHS considerations into every phase of equipment and process development.
  • Partner with automation engineers to implement innovative and cost-effective robotic applications.
  • Support operator and technician training on new systems and processes.
  • Serve as a mentor to junior AMEs and contribute to building a strong, agile engineering team.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years hands on experience in manufacturing equipment and processes
  • 3+ years’ experience managing capital equipment procurement projects, including specification development, equipment supplier selection, technical reviews, installation and qualification of equipment
  • Solid background in assembly, automation, and packaging equipment
  • Proven track record of success in NPI environments and Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working with both engineers and shop-floor teams
  • Passion for innovation, ownership of outcomes, and commitment to safety and quality
  • Proficient with GD&T, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with packing equipment and robotic automation, strongly preferred
  • Robotics experience is a plus

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Work in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Must be flexible to support occasional off-shift or weekend operations
  • Travel up to 25% to support launches and supplier coordination
