Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components that meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are optimized for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Raleigh, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of product development by creating high-quality designs that contribute to the overall success of our projects and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
  • Conduct analysis and simulations to validate design performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices and proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks for creating detailed designs.

  • Experience in product development within a manufacturing environment.
