Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced F&O (Finance & Operations) Solution Architect with expertise in D365 Finance & Operations, AX, and ERP implementations. This role is vital in guiding the technical direction of enterprise software projects, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and compliance. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that support business growth, operational excellence, and technology innovation, contributing directly to the firm's strategic objectives.

Software Requirements

Required:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), AX, and ERP implementation and development.
  • Knowledge of various software development platforms and enterprise technologies.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
  • Understanding of database technologies including MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Experience with other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of additional development tools and cloud platforms.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership throughout the life cycle of ERP projects, from planning to deployment.
  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate new technologies, platforms, and system integrations.
  • Develop comprehensive technical strategies aligning with organizational goals and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business analysts, developers, and stakeholders—to ensure project delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensure all software solutions comply with industry standards, security protocols, and organizational policies.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous skill development.

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages:

  • Essential: X++, C#, T-SQL, PowerShell, XML, JSON.
  • Preferred: Python, JavaScript, and other relevant scripting languages.

Databases/Data Management:

  • Essential: Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle.
  • Preferred: Cloud-native data solutions and modern data architecture.

Cloud Technologies:

  • Essential: Well-versed in Azure infrastructure deployment, management, and related services.
  • Preferred: Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

Frameworks and Libraries:

  • Knowledge of development frameworks supporting D365 F&O such as OData, Azure SDKs, and REST APIs.

Development Tools and Methodologies:

  • Proficient with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
  • Experienced with Agile and DevOps methodologies to support iterative delivery.

Security Protocols:

  • Strong understanding of IT security, compliance standards, and best practices in enterprise environments.

Experience Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in software development, enterprise architecture, or technology consulting.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex ERP or large-scale software solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams across multiple projects.
  • Industry experience in finance, operations, or enterprise technology projects is a plus; alternative relevant experience will be considered.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to understand project requirements and design scalable solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research on emerging technologies and platforms relevant to ERP and enterprise systems.
  • Develop and document technical architecture and implementation plans.
  • Review development activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and enforce best practices.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, scope, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Engage in code reviews, system integrations, and automation initiatives.
  • Lead technical discussions around infrastructure, security, and platform optimization.
  • Support teams during change management, adoption, and problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in relevant disciplines is a plus.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365, Azure Solutions Architect, or related certifications are preferred.
