Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary Principal of AI Sales Technology & Innovation to revolutionize how our revenue teams leverage artificial intelligence to accelerate sales & customer success. This unique hybrid role combines product management discipline with AI architecture expertise to build, buy, and deploy cutting-edge tools that transform sales efficiency. You'll be the driving force behind AI-powered innovations like intelligent account planning, conversation intelligence, and automated CDP adoption playbooks – all with measurable impact on revenue outcomes.

This is a first-of-its-kind position that sits at the intersection of AI innovation and revenue enablement. You'll work hand-in-hand with Account Directors, Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and ADRs to identify efficiency opportunities, then rapidly prototype and deploy AI solutions that deliver immediate value. Success requires equal parts technical expertise, product thinking, and obsessive focus on user adoption. You'll build tools that teams actually use, not just impressive demos.

Key Responsibilities

AI Product Strategy & Development (35%)

  • Lead product discovery with GTM teams to identify high-impact automation opportunities
  • Design AI-powered solutions including automated account planning, call analysis, and adoption playbooks
  • Build rapid prototypes using modern AI/ML platforms and APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
  • Manage build vs. buy decisions evaluating commercial solutions against custom development
  • Create product roadmaps balancing quick wins with transformational initiatives

Technical Architecture & Implementation (30%)

  • Architect scalable AI solutions integrating with existing sales tech stack (Salesforce/Hubspot, Zoom, Salesloft)
  • Develop prompt engineering frameworks for consistent, high-quality AI outputs
  • Build data pipelines connecting disparate systems for unified intelligence
  • Ensure security and compliance for AI tools handling sensitive customer data
  • Partner with IT and Engineering on production deployment and maintenance

Adoption & Change Management (25%)

  • Design adoption strategies that drive 80%+ utilization of deployed tools
  • Create in-product guidance and user experiences that encourage correct usage
  • Build measurement frameworks tracking tool usage, quality, and business impact
  • Develop training materials and conduct enablement sessions for new AI capabilities
  • Establish feedback loops for continuous improvement based on user behavior

Impact Measurement & Optimization (10%)

  • Define success metrics for each AI initiative tied to business outcomes
  • Build dashboards showing tool adoption, efficiency gains, and revenue impact
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize AI model performance and user experience
  • Calculate ROI of AI investments to guide future resource allocation
  • Share insights with leadership on AI's impact on sales productivity

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years building AI/ML solutions in production environments
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Azure AI)
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and AI model optimization
  • Proven track record shipping products that users love and actually adopt
  • Experience with agile development, user research, and rapid prototyping
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to define and track success metrics
  • Design thinking approach to problem-solving and solution development
  • Understanding of B2B sales processes and revenue team workflows
  • Familiarity with sales technology ecosystem (CRM, sales engagement, conversation intelligence)
  • Experience working with or enabling sales, success, or marketing teams
  • Knowledge of marketing technology and customer data platforms (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building sales or marketing automation tools
  • Background in revenue operations or sales engineering
  • Knowledge of change management and technology adoption strategies
  • Certifications in AI/ML platforms or cloud architectures
  • Track record of 0-to-1 product development in fast-paced environments

Physical Requirements:

Working out of the New York, NY office according to our “Global Hybrid Working Policy.”

Travel Requirements:

Requires peaks of 20% travel to visit clients
