This position’s primary responsibility is to establish and manage the Quality of new and existing PSB Developed products, Consumer Experience and Returns Reduction initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead PSB Quality improvement initiatives and participate in associated training.
• Work with Test Engineering, Quality and NPI Engineering in China on reporting returns data to support Field Pass Yield improvement projects in the factory.
• Lead investigations when product quality issues arise and develop workable solutions.
• Lead risk management quality initiatives including quality test planning and DFMEA projects on new or existing product.
• Hold and Lead Product Improvement meeting between Customer Care, Engineering, Brand and Category on potential return concerns from PSB customers or retail partners.
• Lead sustaining product meetings and work with engineering and category management to drive issues to closure.
• Work with China Quality team to help drive supplier related quality issues to closure.
• Assist and support Quality engineers in Asia on conducting tests, analyzing data, training inspectors and provide feedback.
• Working with Engineering team on Accelerated Life Testing projects related to new or challenging features in a design.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 10+ years’ experience in a leadership quality role
• Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt
• Reliability Engineering Experience, Green Belt or CRE
• Be a “Change Agent” for the company in continuous improvement activities and possess good change management and communication skills.
• Energetic, positive, pro-active, well-articulated passionate leader
• Excellent organizational skills – must be able to multitask and not let items slip between the cracks. Must be able to follow up.
• Ability to work in a fast paced highly visible environment within a cross functional team.
• Attention to detail and must be Process driven.
• Mechanical and Electrical Audit experience
• Ability to create processes and communicate well within a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs – specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally (China, Mexico etc.) as needed.
• Manufacturing experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Strong analytical and computer skills
• Goals and metrics associated with Quality department.
• Working closely with Software Quality Assurance and Returns testing team.
• All product quality from PSB Contract Manufacturers domestic and international.
• Evaluating and driving action around Customer Care Center reported Returns.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports directly to the Dir. of Quality
• Close working relationships with Returns Team, Customer Care, Categories, Engineering and China Quality team
