You will be the Procurement Engineer Senior for the Upper Tier Integrated Air Missile Defense (UTIAMD) Global Supply Chain (GSC) team. Our team is responsible for reducing risk within the supply base and supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Procurement Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the GSC team, focusing on requirements management, risk and opportunity management, and strategic sourcing. You will play a key role in identifying affordability opportunities and creating supplier capacity models.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting requirements management efforts and risk/opportunity management
  • Providing strategic sourcing support and identifying affordability opportunities
  • Creating and validating supplier capacity models
  • Participating in process improvement and corrective action activities, such as PFMEA and RCCA analyses

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Background/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field. Considered an emerging authority.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Ability to interact with both internal and external customers
  • Experience working in a collaborative/team environment
  • Ability to analyze and organize supplier data for analysis purposes
  • Prior experience with procurement, supply chain and/or subcontracts

Desired Skills:

  • LSS Green Belt or Black Belt certified
  • Experience with Process Simulator or other capacity analysis tools
  • Risk Management Experience
  • Experience in selecting and advancing suppliers
  • Ability to drive process improvements and/or root cause/corrective actions utilizing quantitative analytical methods
  • Statement of Work or Requirements writing experience
  • Experience using IBM DOORS to manage complex requirements

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
