SCOPE OF INTERN WORK:
This internship is an excellent opportunity for a current graduate/undergraduate student to gain exposure to the operations of a large international organization while practicing and applying Grant Management methods to ensure continued financial support for the IRC in Salt Lake City.
The Grants Management Intern will work closely with the Grants Manager on maintaining documents and databases with up-to-date information, supporting scheduling and reminders, engaging in prospect research, and providing support to create program materials.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Student will gain experience in grant management and funder engagement principles, which is a crucial skill to move up in the non-profit sector.
2. Students will learn more about the pre-award process for building a funding portfolio in a non-profit.
3. Student will learn the basics of proposal development and play a key role in ensuring proactive responses to business development needs.
4. Student will develop an in-depth understanding of IRC Resettlement, Asylum, & Integration programming.
5. Student will gain experience drafting materials that are donor and staff facing.
