MANTECH seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Crane, IN. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement software tools that enhance mechanical system modeling, simulation, and testing
- Integrate mechanical systems with software-based control and monitoring platforms
- Support system architecture design involving electromechanical components and embedded software
- Conduct performance analysis using MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on design reviews, technical documentation, and verification
- Assist in automation of test processes and data acquisition
- Provide technical input on materials, manufacturing methods, and systems design with software interdependencies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design with embedded or software-driven systems
- Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB
- Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and translate mechanical requirements into software features
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in DoD or defense-related engineering projects
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, sensor integration, or electronic warfare (EW)
- technologies
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, CMMC) and their
- application to hardware/software systems
- Experience with data management tools and concepts like Engineering Data
- Fabric (EDF)
Clearance Requirements:
- An active Secret clearance is required to perform the duties of this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about engineering labs, manufacturing areas, or test facilities
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve briefings or technical discussions.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
