Your Impact:

As a Senior Systems Administrator with the Lab Services Team, at OpenText, you will be part of a global team of administrators responsible for the deployment, management, performance tuning, configuration, and troubleshooting of the computing infrastructure that powers the OpenText Cloud.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, have previous experience of managing a large physical and virtual compute environment and a sound understanding of the technologies we support.

• Leading the resolution of high risk and complex problems.
• Proactively managing systems to reduce reoccurring issues.
• Prioritizing workloads effectively in a time critical environments.
• Working independently within a geographically dispersed team.
• Building and maintaining a good relationship with team members across global regions.

What you need to succeed:

• Experience managing VMware on Cisco UCS Computing.
• Excellent understanding of various Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES, etc.)
• Experience with managing IBM AIX operating systems and hardware
• Experience in maintaining and supporting SPARC-based systems running Oracle Solaris.
• Experience with managing HP-UX hardware and server applications
• Understanding of unix virtualization technologies, such has HPUX, LPARs, and LDOMs
• Practical experience with various hyper-visors (ESXi, KVM, XEN, Hyper-V, ProxMox)
• Progressive hands-on experience as an individual contributor in technologies related to OpenStack of various flavors – Canonical, RedHat, Ansible, etc.
• Understanding of varius scripting technologies (PowerShell, Terraform, Anisble, Python)
• Experienence using AI to automate processes and reduce manual workload.
• Basic Network troubleshooting skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize workloads and work effectively in a time critical environment
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
