Camera Operator

Location: Onsite in Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 3 months

Pay: Up to $76/hour DOE

The Planet Group is looking for a Camera Operator to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 3-month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and will be onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.

Camera Operator Responsibilities:

  • Manage and triage ever-changing and often conflicting requests in a fast paced production environment.
  • Edit creatively and efficiently on Logic Pro / Audition / Pro Tools and understand and conduct all work to high standards.
  • Research and write interview questions and scripts for a broad range of artists and promotional copy for multiple platforms including social and AOD.
  • Organize, manage, maintain and archive music, audio, video, and photo assets, and deliver content with supporting resources to maximize value and impact.
  • Create and maintain a safe set environment.
  • Advise on equipment needs and the future growth of camera needs.
  • Prep grip and lighting packages for shoots.
  • Prep and drive production vehicles.
  • Lead and or assist on productions.
  • Drive Fleet Vehicles as needed.

Camera Operator Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is recommended.
  • 10 years professional experience working as a Camera Technician and or 1st Assistant Cameraman with a deep knowledge of the craft of filmmaking at a high level.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in and operating broadcast studios in a live and pre-recorded environment.
  • Experience supporting a team of production staff and on air talent to deliver content across a range of platforms.
  • Well-versed in pop culture, music and are passionate about entertainment.
  • Experience with Logic Pro / Audition / Pro Tools.
  • Strong collaborator and communicator who is capable of working in a highly dynamic environment to achieve success.
  • Able to work unpredictable hours expanding to nights and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to Drive Fleet Vehicles.
