Job Title: Product Engineering Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Product Engineering Manager with expertise in GaN-SiC semiconductor component design and testing. The successful candidate will lead a team focused on product engineering for the defense and aerospace market, specifically concentrating on New Product Introduction.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership to the Product and Test engineering team, supporting all aspects of new product releases.
- Set timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely execution of milestones.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members and peers.
- Define test strategy for different product lines.
- Drive continuous process improvements and engineering excellence.
- Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Foundry, Program Management, Reliability, Hardware, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to meet yield, test coverage, and timeline goals for each product.
- Support Operation Engineering team with test program improvement and test cost reduction initiatives.
Essential Skills
- Experience with RF, statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and making data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Design for Test (DFT) implementation and Test Plan Development.
- Experience in ATE HW design and SW development.
- Ability to deliver robust and cost-effective test solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of software tools such as AGILE, Basic C# (C-Sharp), and C++.
- Proficiency with statistical tools like JMP and MATLAB.
- Experience with ATE testers such as Teradyne CAT, Chroma 3650, and Advantest 93K.
- Familiarity with Test Floor Equipment including 8” & 12” Prober (TSK and EG6000) and Epson 6040 Handler.
- Experience with Lab Equipment like Function Generator, VNA/PNA, Real-time Scope, High Speed Sampling Scope, Spectrum Analyzer, BERTs (NRZ/PAM4), and Optical systems.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience.
- Proven track record of production releases for several high-volume IC products, preferably in the RF Power markets.
- Good understanding of RF Power semiconductor technology, including compound semiconductors such as GaN HEMT or similar.
Work Environment
The role requires collaboration with various cross-functional teams and involves hands-on work with advanced test and lab equipment. The position emphasizes continuous process improvements and engineering excellence in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
Bonus target, annual equity targets, opportunity to consider sign on bonus
PTO- 16 days for first 5 years
11 (maybe 12) holidays
6 sick days
PTO and sick days are prorated
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Morrisville,NC.
