POSITION: Associate Technical Architect

WORKSITE: 60 Acorn Park Drive, Cambridge, MA 02140

JOB DUTIES:

  • Define architectural practices and guidelines for the Salesforce ecosystem;
  • Deliver technical designs that meet project requirements and meet company architectural guidelines;
  • Collaborate with developers, admins, and product owners to implement technical designs;
  • Balance ideal technical design with key agile tenets of satisfying customers through early and continuous delivery of valuable software;
  • Collaborate across teams to solve complex design issues;
  • Ensure health and maintainability of the company Salesforce instance by avoiding technical debt when possible; identify and propose remediation where necessary;
  • Drive agile development and architecture best practices; and

Telecommuting permitted up to 100%

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an Associate Technical Architect-related occupation.

In the alternative employer will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of Experience in the job offered or in an Associate Technical Architect-related occupation.

The position requires three (3) years of experience involving each of the following:

  • Implementing experience throughout the entire software development process, spanning from initial project planning and requirement analysis to system design, coding, testing, deployment, source code management and ongoing maintenance;
  • Developing Apex (Salesforce’s proprietary programming language), Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and other customizations on the Force.com platform;
  • Working with common ETL tools, object-oriented design patterns, continuous deployment tools and common integration patterns on the Lightning Platform;
  • Utilizing salesforce technologies including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and at one of the communities, configure, price, quote (CPQ) order management or Marketing Cloud;
  • Managing multiple salesforce implementations tailored to various business needs, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and technical requirements, while facilitating clear communication between technical and various business/ department stakeholders through skillful presentation of technical solutions;
  • Identifying potential technical challenges and risks across the architecture and proactively implement solutions to mitigate these risks, ensuring the stability and reliability of the Salesforce implementation;
  • Evaluating the impact of large data volumes on Salesforce performance and design solutions that handle data efficiently;

The position requires holding a Salesforce Developer certification.
