Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

We are looking for a Sr. Equipment Engineer to join our team in Eindhoven for the Hollow Core Fiber Project.

The Equipment and Process Optimization department ensures, through continuous improvement, that our in-house developed production machines (and R&D equipment) function optimally 24/7 and that machine performance is continuously optimized. The Sr. Equipment Engineer translates the needs of the maintenance and process departments (expertise teams) and complex upgrade requests into concrete solutions, possibly in collaboration with various suppliers or specialists. They are also responsible for configuration management. Finally, they act as project leader for complex multidisciplinary projects related to production machinery.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Facilitate expertise teams and multidisciplinary improvement groups by translating their needs into concrete designs or modifications, leading projects to implement these improvements, and preparing the associated documentation for knowledge transfer;
  • Manage configuration by maintaining the product data management system, preparing CE documentation, and providing training to equipment engineers and technicians on how to find and use documentation;
  • Support Process Control and Maintenance by consulting with suppliers on specific issues or failures;
  • Plan and lead multidisciplinary projects.

As a Software Equipment Engineer HCF at Prysmian:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree (HBO) in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering);
  • You preferably have 3–5 years of experience in fiber optic production;
  • You hold a basic VCA certificate (or are willing to obtain one);
  • You have experience in project management in the field of machine construction;
  • You are a team player who can work independently and with a focus on quality;
  • You have experience with various PDM systems, as well as design tools (SolidWorks) and MS Office;
  • You are solution-oriented and take initiative;
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What do we offer you?

A challenging role in an innovative production environment, classified in salary scale 11. The salary depends on your education and experience.

You are entitled to 27 vacation days and 13 additional days off (ATV) based on a full-time contract.
