Job Description

Are you interested in becoming a key member of an international team, developing electronic control devices for embedded systems? Does ensuring product lifetime through continuous design updates appeal to you? Then you might be the ideal candidate for our R&D department!

You’ll join our Electronics Hub in Danfoss Climate Solutions – a cross-functional environment with colleagues from various business areas and disciplines. This setup encourages easy knowledge sharing and supports a dynamic and collaborative way of working.

Our product development is centered around a newly developed platform, which is transforming how we work with electronics in Danfoss. You’ll have the chance to influence the transition of our existing products onto this platform in the coming years.

You’ll be based at our headquarters in Nordborg, where most of your working hours will be spent.

Job Responsibilities

Focus on total cost and lifetime for a sustainable and flexible manufacturing.

Your overall mission will be to maintain and develop electronics for embedded systems – ensuring long product lifetimes, compliance with standards, and suitability for manufacturing in a volatile component landscape. You will work closely with colleagues across global teams to ensure our products meet technical, quality, and customer requirements

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Design both analog and digital circuits for microcontroller-based embedded systems
  • Support lifecycle management by planning and executing redesign activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (UL, IPC, DFM, EMC, etc.)
  • Validate hardware through functional, EMI/EMC, environmental, and vibration testing
  • Optimize the use of simulations and AI in product design by collaborating across functions in the team

At Danfoss, we are constantly improving the way we work to support a more sustainable future – and this mindset also shapes how we design our products. You will have many opportunities to collaborate across teams and projects, helping to define our development processes and continuously contribute to our ESG ambitions.

Background & Skills

A background in electronic or mechatronic engineering – at bachelor’s or master’s level – forms the foundation for this role. You bring solid experience with hardware design for embedded products and understand what it takes to keep electronics reliable and future-ready.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Solid understanding of analog, digital and mixed-signal design
  • Experience with lifecycle management of components, including end-of-life handling
  • Familiarity with certifications and compliance standards (EMC/EMI, RoHS, UL, etc.)
  • Strong debugging and testing skills – especially in relation to EMI/EMC
  • Experience with PCB layout, DFx and simulation tools

Fluency in English is essential, and working in an international and collaborative environment excites you. Naturally curious and motivated by solving technical challenges, you take pride in combining analytical thinking with a practical mindset. Enjoying clear communication, building strong relationships, and contributing positively to a team will help you thrive with us.
