Crafted Highlights:

In the role of Finance Controller – Six Pints, working in Toronto, Ontario, you will be part of the Molson Coors Beverage Company (MCBC) Canadian Commercial Finance team. This role has controlling, governance, and process responsibilities for the Six Pints Collective legal entity and consolidated financial statements. As a leader within the Six Pints Collective, this role will work with various teams within Six Pints as well as MCBC, including Canada Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain Finance and Tax.

This role reports to the Director Finance, Six Pints. Travel to Creemore Springs in Ontario is required at least once a quarter.

The Six Pints Collective portfolio includes: Creemore Springs Brewery, Granville Island Brewing, Trou du diable, Brasseur du Montreal, Fine Company, and Hop Valley.

What You’ll Be Brewing:

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of three talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations.
  • This leader will have controlling, governance, processes responsibilities for Six Pints financial transactions and Consolidated Financial Statements including:
    • Technical accounting lead for Six Pints including accounting guidance, equity investment accounting, and assessment of new accounting standards.
    • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, year-end financial close process for Six Pints.
    • End to end ownership of Treasury, Order to Cash, and Procure to Pay processes, including associated master data activities.
    • End to end ownership of legal entity and tax reporting.
    • Accountability for monthly tax and regulatory filings (includes Ontario Beer Tax, Excise Tax, Quebec Specific Tax, HST/QST/PST).
    • Develop and document processes and controls to ensure a strong control environment and ensure adherence to policies (includes internal controls compliant with SOX requirements).
    • Support Commercial & Supply Chain Six Pints teams with reporting, governance, controls, processes.
    • Identify and lead process improvements and efficiencies within the Six Pints legal entity and its interactions with MCBC.
  • In addition, this leader will:
    • Lead Six Pints G&A reporting, forecasting, and budgeting including providing support and insights to business partners.
    • Provide financial leadership for ad-hoc projects, acquisitions, and system implementations.

  • 5 years of progressive Controller experience, as well as 1-3 years of people leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce/Economics with a CPA designation.
  • Bilingual in French and English considered a strong an asset.

  • Process & governance/controls orientated.
  • Effectively prioritize based on business priorities and deliverables.
  • Confident and competent. Diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business.
  • Demonstrates the ability to autonomously deliver on stretch targets, utilizing strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Deals with change, strong and energetic leadership skills to effectively lead new initiatives across the organization, set direction and drive for results.
  • Motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development.
  • Experience preferably within CPG in a finance business partnering role.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Self-starter, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, team player.
  • Ability to effectively work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage people/team that reside in different locations (from a far).

Pay and Benefits:

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $106,000.00 - $139,100.00 (posting salary range) + 15% target short term incentive + $11,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).

The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
