Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I (BPU) for the Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides support and coordination of graduate programs related to Clean Energy including the day to day administration of the Graduate Certificate in Clean Energy housed RCEI.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with the School of Graduate Studies and with graduate program administrators across Rutgers-New Brunswick with faculty, staff, and students involved in the Clean Energy Certificate.
  • Creates and maintains databases of information on graduate students that complete the certificate, and produces reports with this information as needed to show program effectiveness.
  • Provides logistical support to graduate students enrolled in the certificate to ensure their smooth progression within the program to completion.
  • Produces data and written reports as needed to support RCEI program missions. Contributes to the social media image and produces content for the RCEI website content on the Clean Energy Certificate, and similar RCEI programs.
  • Maintains and grows industry, non-profit, and government collaborations with RCEI around clean energy topics, building the RCEI clean energy internship program.
  • Handles routine work as well as unexpected non-routine duties as they arise.

Salary Details Maximum salary of $61,000.

Minimum Salary 59893.480

Mid Range Salary 73909.480

Maximum Salary 87925.480

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sustainability, planning or a related field and two years of relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.

  • Ability to operate advanced computing systems.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of renewable energy production systems, economics, or policy.
