Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for the verification and validation of complex avionics systems and components, ensuring they meet stringent safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing test plans and procedures, executing tests, analysing results, and generating comprehensive test reports. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of avionics principles, testing methodologies, and relevant industry standards.

Job scope (core activities):

You will be involved in understanding the Specific Avionics System under Test (Ex: Flight Controls, Flight Management System, Flight Operations ..). You will be expected to

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures based on system requirements, specifications, and relevant industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, MIL-STD-810, etc.).
  • Execute various types of tests, including functional testing, integration testing, performance testing and system-level testing on avionics hardware and software.
  • Set up and configure test environments, including hardware simulators, software tools, and data acquisition systems.
  • Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and document defects clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage (when applicable).
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and standards throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Generate detailed test reports summarizing test activities, results, and conclusions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest avionics technologies, testing methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies within the organization.

Required Domain Expertise:

  • Python
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and requirements documents
  • Strong understanding of avionics principles, architectures, and communication protocols
  • Familiarity with avionics software development lifecycle and verification processes

Area:

  • Aerospace Engineering

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
