Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer
Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting system integration through the design and troubleshooting of peripheral circuitry or digital interfaces for FPGA or micro-controllers.
Responsibilities
- Design and troubleshoot peripheral circuitry or digital interfaces for FPGA and micro-controllers.
- Document designs with digital interfaces for system architecture and design specifications.
- Provide proof of concept through simulations and evaluation boards on a case-by-case basis.
- Support schematic capture and board layout involving FPGA, microprocessors, and their peripheral circuitry or digital interfaces.
- Conduct post-layout signal integrity simulations on high-speed digital interfaces within or between modules.
- Assist in system integration, system/acceptance testing with focus on digital interface functionality, troubleshooting, and analysis.
- Support the development of test and repair procedures for production.
- Design with a focus on cost efficiency and schedule adherence for high volume manufacturability.
- Assist in qualification, reliability analysis, and testing of systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with digital interfaces such as DDR4, flash memory, SPI, I2C, JTAG, CAN bus.
- Knowledge of digital signaling including TTL, LVTTL, CMOS, LVCMOS, PECL, LVPECL, LVDS.
- Proficiency in using digital oscilloscopes and exposure to spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Understanding of DSP and wireless communication theory.
Work Environment
Onsite office/lab setting, working as part of the Research and Development team focused on upgrading products for major telecommunications companies.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.90 - $64.90/hr.
