Surface is hiring a Firmware Engineer II to help build the next generation of devices.
As a Firmware Engineer II, you will develop, document, and maintain low-level system on chip (SoC) firmware code in partnership with hardware and software teams. You will drive collaboration with partner teams to identify system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and plan for the remediation of issues. You will automate tasks and enable validation partners with maximum code and collateral sharing. You will ensure the firmware operates efficiently and reliably within the hardware environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Firmware Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
