Your Job

You will design, develop, and enhance high-speed automated test systems and perform electrical testing to ensure the performance and quality of high-speed cable assemblies. This role involves integrating custom circuit boards with advanced test equipment, analyzing complex test data, and driving root cause analysis to improve manufacturing processes

Our Team

You will be part of the Datacom & Specialty Solutions Division, collaborating globally with multifunctional teams, including product development, manufacturing, marketing, and quality. This role involves frequent interaction with internal and external customers, including senior-level global management, to exchange complex engineering and proprietary information

What You Will Do

  • Innovate and upgrade globally deployed automated production test systems for high-speed cable assembly products.
  • Conduct electrical testing of cable assemblies, analyze data, and identify key product design and manufacturing aspects critical to quality.
  • Develop and integrate custom test systems using advanced tools like oscilloscopes, TDR modules, and network analyzers.
  • Collaborate with global teams to create software solutions for high-speed test systems, ensuring alignment with multiple manufacturing regions.
  • Perform root cause and corrective action analysis to resolve failure modes and document findings in detailed reports.
  • Design and maintain testing systems, including mechanical fixtures, PCB design, hardware, and software components.
  • Contribute to quality and environmental management systems by adhering to approved policies and procedures.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Computer) or an equivalent discipline.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in test and measurement.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++ or VB/C# within the Microsoft .NET framework, and scripted languages like Python.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, and solve complex problems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills demonstrated through collaboration with global teams.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master’s degree in Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of progressive engineering experience, with expertise in high-speed testing and design.
  • Hands-on experience with RF/microwave test equipment such as network analyzers, TDR modules, and bit error rate testers.
  • Knowledge of RF/microwave transmission line theory, PCB layout tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics PADS or Cadence Allegro), and advanced PCB fabrication methods.
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools like Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave Studio.
  • Familiarity with lean/six sigma methodologies, including tools such as control charts, gage R&R, and process capability analysis.
