Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

As a Director of FP&A, you will partner with the VP of FP&A and other planning team members in guiding the organization from the financial and analytical lens. You will own key areas of the planning function and strategic assessment process, and will help to build out modeling and deliverables as the organization grows. Your critical insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and the leadership team will drive alignment on key financial decisions, and will be instrumental in helping CreatorIQ achieve its commercial and financial goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Financial Planning: Own and expand the budget and forecast process for key areas of the organization, including sales, marketing, and other strategic parts of the business.
  • Performance Tracking: Elevate and align on crucial topline business KPI targets, and facilitate tracking and assessment of business performance against those metrics.
  • Strategic Analysis & Decision Support: Independently build and manage complex modeling, including for M&A analyses, and be able to translate the numbers into key strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Business Intelligence & Data Analysis: Partner with the BI team to unlock value through data analytics, by identifying trends and insights that help grow revenue in the most cost-efficient ways.
  • Business Partnership: Become a trusted business partner to the executive team and key stakeholders across the organization; collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Accounting.
  • Communication: Clearly and impactfully communicate and present assessments and recommendations to key stakeholders, and drive alignment on resulting key financial decisions.
  • Team Building: partner with the VP of FP&A to expand and develop key areas of the FP&A team as the organization grows.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in management consulting or investment banking, or 10+ years of experience in corporate finance; prior experience in the SaaS or tech industries and/or high-growth startups is preferable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (finance, economics); Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with complex Excel modeling is essential; experience with financial planning tools is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: An intellectually-curious financial mindset; thrives on solving challenging analyses and uncovering transformational insights; ability to synthesize large datasets from multiple sources, and to translate analysis results into business recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Keen ability to understand, articulate, and interact with key partners across the organization, and well-developed emotional intelligence.
  • Attitude & Cultural Champion: A flexible team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude, comfortable working in a fast-growing often uncertain environment, embracing a “no job too small” startup mentality, while having fun in the workplace.
