Job Title: Systems Integration Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Engineer with a strong experience in edge computing hardware and software integration, particularly in avionics or similar domains. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of networking systems, NSA certification processes, and system requirements flow-down or system modeling. This role involves working in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment supporting national security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the integration of edge computing systems, including hardware and software components, into avionics or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system interoperability and performance.
• Develop and manage system requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Apply system modeling techniques to support design decisions and validate system behavior.
• Support and guide NSA certification processes, including documentation, testing, and compliance activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware, software, and network layers.
• Provide technical input during design reviews, risk assessments, and system validation efforts.

Essential Skills

• Experience in embedded and edge computing.
• Proficiency in system integration.
• Familiarity with SysML, Cameo, and MagicDraw.
• Understanding of DO-178C standards.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems integration, with a focus on edge computing and embedded systems.
• Proven experience in avionics or similar high-reliability environments.
• Strong understanding of networking systems, protocols, and architectures.
• Familiarity with NSA certification processes and security compliance standards.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD, DO-178C, or similar standards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/hr.
