Are you interested in helping improve the legitimacy, effectiveness and efficiency of state and local criminal justice systems?
We’re excited to announce multiple opportunities for skilled and data-driven professionals to join our team and lead analyses related to the distribution and use of grant funds and report on their effect on public safety outcomes!
These hybrid positions work at home and in the office. Typically, a Grant Coordinator can expect to spend 1-2 days in the office each week.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on data-driven evaluations that examine how justice system interventions align with national and state standards, how resources are allocated, and the overall impact these efforts have on key public safety indicators. Your work will help guide policy decisions, inform program development, and support evidence-based practices statewide.
This position manages statewide grant programs designed to support a wide range of innovative programs included prison diversion efforts, law enforcement investigations, restorative justice initiatives, and services for individuals with behavior health needs. You’ll lead multi-agency committees to establish grant requirements and awards, analyze grant recipient progress, and work with organizations across Oregon to implement best practices that support public safety.
Through effective program management, thoughtful data interpretation and clear reporting, you’ll provide valuable insights that help improve criminal justice systems and contribute to safer communities across Oregon.
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four (4)years’ experience coordinating or administering a program
OR;
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
This position works in a typical office environment, both at home and in a state office, with occasional lifting of office supplies and equipment. The majority of the workday is spent at a computer.
Workload can be demanding, requiring priority management. Significant weekend and evening work may be necessary, especially for project deadlines.
Intra and interstate travel may be required on occasion in all types of weather.
The mission of the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) to improve the legitimacy, efficiency, and effectiveness of Oregon’s state and local criminal justice systems by providing a centralized and impartial forum for statewide policy development and planning. The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility.
