As a Data Visualization Engineer II with the Data Strategy & Visualization team you will establish high-quality visualization standards and practices across the organization. You will be responsible for designing innovative solutions that leverage visualization to address significant business challenges. Utilizing your expertise in data visualization, you will drive the process of rapidly developing high-quality dashboards using Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, and potentially other tools.

You will adhere to Best Buy’s design standards, prioritize work through an agile intake process, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, product development, and data quality. As a domain expert in design experience, you’ll wireframe and build compelling visualizations that effectively tell data-driven stories. Your role includes participating in design governance, clarifying ambiguous requests, and delivering high-quality visual solutions in a fast-paced environment. Experience in global, collaborative organizations and a passion for inclusive, human-centered design are highly valued. If you're a creative problem solver and skilled storyteller who challenges the status quo, you'll help shape the future of Best Buy’s retail innovation.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. For this role, you must be located within a drivable distance to our office in Richfield, Minnesota.

  • Share best practices in visualization theory and tools like Power BI and Tableau while supporting long-term dashboard maintenance
