Systems Engineer II

Location: Richfield, MN (Hybrid)

Tell us about your department:

Our department is a team of 22 engineers based in the US and India responsible for managing the migration of applications from on-premise data centers to AWS.

Project Description:

We are working on a large-scale initiative to migrate workloads out of the data centers and into the cloud. This multi-year endeavor will enable us to refresh our infrastructure and expand our use of infrastructure as code across the enterprise. Using tools including Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins and others, we are securing and streamlining how we build and manage the systems that support our company and our website.

Position Summary/Job Description:

This position will work with other engineers and application owners to ensure the necessary information is documented to support the build and migration of applications to AWS. Use Terraform and Chef to build and manage the infrastructure in AWS. Coordinate migration and cutover activities with application teams to ensure successful transitions.

Skills Overview:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Working knowledge of cloud offerings, preferably AWS.
• Experience working with Terraform, Chef, and Ansible
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Understanding of code management practices and SDLC.
