The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Shopee is seeking a highly driven and experienced Sorting Center Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our sorting center. This role is critical to ensuring safety, driving operational performance, and building a strong team culture. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, data-driven, and passionate about building high-performing teams to support Shopee’s fast-paced logistics growth.
Job Description:
1. Maintain a Safe Working Environment
- Ensure full compliance with workplace safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Drive a strong safety culture through regular training and audits.
2. Drive Operational Performance & Initiatives
- Oversee the entire parcel sorting process from inbound to outbound, ensuring speed, accuracy, and SLA adherence (Service Level Agreement).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as parcel throughput, scan accuracy, processing time, and labor productivity.
- Analyze daily operations data to identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Roll out and manage initiatives related to process automation, facility layout optimization, and system upgrades in collaboration with central tech and engineering teams.
- Forecast volume growth and scale operational capacity accordingly, including peak season and campaign planning
- Ensure close coordination with Linehaul, First-mile, and Last-mile teams for smooth end-to-end parcel flow.
3. Leadership & People Management
- Lead and manage a large team of assistant managers, supervisors, team leaders, and operators and contractual workers during peak operations.
- Drive daily shift planning, workforce scheduling, and headcount forecasting in line with demand fluctuations.
- Provide strong coaching and performance feedback to team members to build a high-performance culture.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment that promotes ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Partner with HR and Training teams to recruit, onboard, and develop talent pipelines at the sorting center.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
- Min 8+ years of hands-on experience in logistics/warehouse/fulfillment center operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven ability to lead large operational teams in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Familiarity with Sorting Center Operations 5S, Lean, or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Good command of Vietnamese and intermediate English (reading/writing/speaking).
