Job Purpose:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible to drive the continuous optimal performance and reliability of all production machinery by leading robust preventive maintenance programs and swiftly resolving breakdowns. This role is crucial for maximizing operational efficiency, upholding quality and safety standards, and minimizing disruptions across the production line.
Duties&Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: you will develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all production machinery to ensure continuous optimal performance and reliability.
- Breakdown Resolution: you will ensure swift and efficient resolution of any machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
- Troubleshooting: you will proactively identify and troubleshoot potential issues before they escalate into major problems, using your expertise to analyze root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Process Improvement: you will actively seek opportunities to improve production processes by optimizing machine performance, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.
- Quality and Safety: you will uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in all my work, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Vendor Management: you will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure a reliable supply of parts, equipment, and services, and to stay informed about the latest technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Expertise in mechanical installations and systems.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and quick response time.
- Innovative thinking and technical reporting skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Experience in maintenance of wide variety of machines tableting, encapsulation,blistering and cartooning machine.
