Position Summary

The Technology Architect is responsible for the design and delivery of software application architecture across Lineage’s growing portfolio of supply chain systems. As a logistics organization, our technology - particularly the differentiated solutions we choose to build - is foundational to delivering our services and maintaining industry leadership. This role demands both broad and deep technical expertise, including a fundamental understanding of software engineering, networking, system administration, databases, and development tools.

A successful architect ensures that our applications are secure, scalable, resilient, maintainable, automated, and easily deployed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design high-level architecture for supply chain software, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and automation tools within our technology ecosystem
• Research and apply new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance security, scalability, resiliency, maintainability, automation, and deployment
• Support development and deployment activities through close collaboration with software engineers, devops engineers, data architects, and other technical staff
• Help identify and resolve critical system issues and security vulnerabilities
• Collaborate across teams to solve complex problems and navigate technical disagreements with informed, practical solutions
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members and peers

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Management, or a related field; or 9+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an architectural role on large, complex projects
• Strong understanding of software engineering tools and technologies, including IDEs, CI/CD pipelines, APM tools, and cloud platforms

• Maintain a broad and deep understanding of software development techniques and technologies

• Understand your strengths and apply them effectively
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and business concepts
• Take ownership of outcomes, delivering high-quality work on time
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed
• Knowledge of supply chain technologies such as WMS, TMS, and YMS is strongly preferred
