We are looking for an Apprentice within the Digital Industries Motion Control Business Unit area in Milan, within the Machine Tools Systems Application team, who will be trained in 2 years in Milan as CNC (Numerical Control) Application Engineer, with a focus on boosting Innovation and Digitalization in the Italian Industrial Market. Your Challenge

• As a Junior CNC Application Engineer some of your main activities will be:
• Understanding and working with SIMATIC, SINAMICS, and SINUMERIK systems applied to machine tools technology.
• Learning to create CNC-based automation and drive applications with a virtual-to-real approach, using tools such as the digital twin.
• Gaining hands-on experience with PLC programming and automation systems, as well as basic knowledge of G-Code programming and motion planning.
• Supporting our sales and pre-sales teams with technical presentations and training activities for customers.
• Collaborating with OEM and partners and supporting them in the development of new applications and machine tools.

What you need to bring with you

• Have less than 29 years of age, in accordance with the Italian apprenticeship contract
• Recent graduated or is about to graduate in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Automation Engineering and passionate about technological innovation
• You are fluent in Italian and English
• Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Adaptable, curious and eager to keep learning
• Continuous self-improvement enthusiast
• Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge
• Eligibility to work in Italy
