Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to develop and execute test procedures, focusing on electrical testing in compliance with the IEC-6100 series of EMC tests. The role involves debugging hardware and firmware components, selecting components, and assembling prototypes and engineering tools. Candidates should be familiar with AC and DC designs and have the ability to use schematics and layout tools for debugging purposes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test procedures in line with industry standards.
• Perform electrical testing in compliance with IEC-6100 series of EMC tests.
• Debug hardware and firmware components effectively.
• Select appropriate components for various projects.
• Utilize schematics and layout tools for debugging purposes.
• Work with power supplies and transformers.
• Assemble prototypes and engineering tools.
• Execute test plans on electronic devices.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electronics testing.
• Experience with LabView, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
• Strong background in electrical engineering.
• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably with UL or safety products.
• Familiarity with high voltage electronics (120 and 240 VAC).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronics testing environment.
• Functional safety testing experience preferred, especially IEC-6100.
• Experience with agency certifications like UL, TUV.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as LabView.
• Exposure to programming languages like C, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with EMC testing is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
