Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Team Leader Solution Design to join our Automation & Digital Americas team.

In this role, you will lead and guide a team of specialists, ensuring strong expertise and competence in the design of Automation & Digital solutions for both brownfield and greenfield pre-projects. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders - including customers, key account managers, engineering teams, suppliers, and partners - during the pre-project phase to define the technical scope and estimates that meet customer needs.

Your work will be instrumental in shaping the future of our business in alignment with our strategic objectives.

You will report directly to the Automation & Digital Business Development and Solution Design Manager Americas.

You will be travelling up to 25 % of your time.

The position is based at US or Brazil at any of Tetra Pak office locations.

What you will do

As a Team Leader Solution Design, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of Solution Design Specialists, ensuring they have the skills, direction, and confidence to deliver technical designs and estimates;
  • Guide the design of automation concepts and solutions during the pre-project phase for both greenfield and brownfield, ensuring technical feasibility, scalability, and alignment with customer needs and business strategies;
  • Manage the internal resource for Solution Design team including strategic resource assignments, conflict resolution, yearly reviews, salary recommendation, individual development planning, resource utilization, approve expenses reports, and approve/manage vacations;
  • Manage the pre-project opportunities pipeline and resources allocation, securing timely deliveries and balanced workload distribution;
  • Act as a key point of contact between account managers, project managers, engineering and suppliers during pre-project phases representing Automation & Digital Americas;
  • Ensure internal processes, tools, and standards are followed to support efficiency, quality and accuracy in pre-project deliverables;
  • Collaborate closely with the Automation & Digital Business Development team to provide automation engineering support during the prospecting and quoting phases, actively participating in customer meetings and contributing to technical discussions and presentations.

We believe you have

  • Degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field;
  • Solid experience in automation engineering in food and beverage sector;
  • Advanced proficiency in English is required; Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus;
  • Proven experience of Operational Technology (OT) technologies such as PLCs, SCADAs, programming, and commissioning activities;
  • Solid knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), virtualization, and industrial network integration is a must;
  • Familiarity with ISA-S88 and S95 standards;
  • Experience with Tetra Pak Automation Platform (Tetra Pak Plant Master) is highly desirable;
  • Strong leadership with proven people and conflict management abilities;
  • Project management, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Effective internal and customer-facing communication skills;
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic setting with competing priorities and shifting demands;
  • Innovation and continuous improvement mindset.

Pay Transparency

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Ranges are determined by role, level and responsibilities. Within the range, individual pay is defined by diverse factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work location and others

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.

Annual Base Salary Range: $110,00.00 – 157,100.00

Short-term Incentive (Variable Pay): eligible to performance incentive of 10%
