JOB TITLE: Controls Engineer - Robotics
LOCATION: Manassas, VA
PAY RATE: Up to $51/hour

Summary:
- Design and implement robotic automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Program and integrate Fanuc and Epson robots with PLCs and existing production systems
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain automated systems for maximum uptime and throughput
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and automation opportunities
- Create and maintain technical documentation for robotic systems
- Support machine tending operations and automation of manual stations
- Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices across automation efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- 5+ years of experience in robotics or automation, preferably in high-volume, low-mix manufacturing
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience with:
- PLC programming and controls integration
- Industrial robotics (Fanuc and Epson highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies
- Proven ability to drive efficiency, uptime, and productivity improvements
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
- Lean Manufacturing
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
