APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Bring up the new Apple camera system on chip (SoC) for iPhone, Mac, and iPad Platforms. Work on bare metal chip programming and integration with low-level operating systems. Analyze hardware modifications within the new chip, along with diverse image processing blocks, and validate these adjustments within the firmware code. Conduct architectural review and simulation of the camera SoC to ensure the design meets specifications and performance goals. Develop and implement test plans for the SoC in a pre-silicon environment using tools such as FPGAs and simulation models to identify and resolve issues early in the design cycle. Lead the initial power-on and bring-up of the camera SoC on prototype hardware, including boot code debugging and system-level integration. Develop and maintain camera firmware for all Apple devices, including firmware associated with the Apple Neural Engine and Image Signal Processing to support ongoing Camera SoC production. Optimize Camera SoC performance through firmware development and power tuning strategies post-silicon. Develop Digital Signal Processing algorithms and Real time Embedded code for Apple Camera devices. Analyze and interface with Apple Camera-related SoCs or hardware, including engagement with FPGAs, interrupts, and multithreading environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any hardware or firmware issues detected during the bring-up phase. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $226,158 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
