Base Pay Range: $80,161 - $138,468

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Position Summary

Electrical Engineer plays a key role in supporting Banner’s Lighting Business Unit team by facilitating Banner’s continued growth in the industrial automation and LED Lighting market.

This position is responsible for designing, testing and documenting new lighting and indicator products, and contributing to the success of Banner’s goals. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical engineering skills, specifically in hardware design, and a proven ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and work in a team environment.

This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design analog and digital circuits used in industrial lighting and indication products
• Evaluate designs through product testing to ensure the products meet the intended requirements
• Provide directions to PCB designers on layout design
• Manage product documentation including bill of materials (BOMs), design verification reports, and engineering change orders (ECOs)
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to provide globally competitive products
• Confer with Banner’s Purchasing department and outside vendors to qualify electronic parts
• Provide work directions to Technicians as necessary

Required

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment

Preferred

• Proficiency in LED technology and LED lighting driver design
• Background in analog and digital circuit design, particularly with LED drivers, power regulation, and thermal management
• Familiarity with embedded systems and optical engineering concepts
• Experience testing and troubleshooting circuits in both prototype and production environments
• Experience using microcontrollers and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, etc.)
• Knowledgeable in CE Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) test requirements, and ability to perform preliminary testing
• Experience utilizing ECAD design tools (i.e. Mentor Graphics)

• Corporate office environment – indoor and climate-controlled
• Frequent interaction with internal departments and cross-functional teams
• Exposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature changes in production areas
• PPE may be required in specific areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection)
• Standard hours Monday through Friday with core hours between 9am – 3pm
