Job Summary:

  • The Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator will effectively administer the onboarding process and ensure a positive and productive new hire experience. Serves as the first point of contact for all new hires regarding onboarding inquiries.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Receiving onboarding requests from human resources and/or hiring managers.
  • Proactively reaching out to new employees to welcome them to the company, set expectations, and solicit questions.
  • Drafting customized onboarding checklists for all new employees detailing tasks and expectations of all parties involved. Common tasks include pre-employment processes, ensuring equipment and supplies are available, and arranging meetings.
  • Facilitating the quick and accurate completion of tasks detailed in the onboarding checklist through ownership of the process and frequent and accurate communications with new employees and hiring managers.
  • Storing appropriate employment records generated during the onboarding process.
  • Coordinating new hire orientation as needed.
  • May be involved in minimal onboarding activities for contractors.

Qualifications:

Education –

  • High School Diploma and 2-4 years of related experience.

  • Demonstrate excellence in organizational and time management skills
  • Previous experience interacting with a variety of stakeholders including Pre-hires, Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers, HR, & Executives.
  • Knowledge and previous Human Resource experience, specifically as it relates to Onboarding, Staffing, Recruiting, and Pre-Employment Investigations (PEI)
  • Be able to thrive within a results-oriented, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, specifically manage multiple priorities and function independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use sound judgment to identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Demonstrate professionalism with excellent customer service/concierge skills and ability to communicate effectively (both verbal/written)
  • Confident phone presence and exceptional customer service skills
  • Possess impeccable attention to detail
  • Prior experience using ADP, Taleo, ICIMS, preferred.
  • Experience using a texting system such as TextRecruit or ADP, preferred.
  • Computer literate; current on new technology such as MS 365 and Microsoft Teams

Experience-

  • 4 years of human resources, preferred

Mental/Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Vision, hearing speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to sit for extended periods. Light physical effort requires handling average weight objects up to 10 lbs and some standing and walking. Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary.
