What You Will Do
MST-8 is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to conduct in situ SEM/TEM mechanical and microstructural characterization under simultaneous radiation, stress, and temperature. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of first of its kind in situ SEM irradiation creep/fatigue testing facility. We seek candidates that are exceptional at in situ SEM/TEM irradiation and mechanical characterization. Techniques will include in situ SEM/TEM small-scale testing (nanoindentation, micropillar, and microtensile) under combined radiation extremes. The position will be awarded to the candidate demonstrating exceptional talent with a successful collaborative and scientific track record.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Experience: A PhD in nuclear engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, or a related engineering discipline completed within the last 5 years or soon to be completed.

Salary:
