How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
As an Operational Performance Co-op, you will support the Line Operations team by analyzing operational data, identifying performance trends, and contributing to initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and process improvement. This role is ideal for students with a passion for aviation, data analytics, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and gain hands-on experience in operational performance analysis within a dynamic airline environment. This is a full-time co-op position based in Atlanta.
Responsibilities include:
Operational Data Analysis & Reporting
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing operational performance data (e.g., D0, A0, fuel burn, latency).
- Support the development of dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify trends and anomalies in data to support decision-making and performance initiatives.
Project Support
- Contribute to ongoing and new operational improvement projects (e.g., gate efficiency, taxi time reduction, safety enhancements).
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and assist in documenting project plans and outcomes.
- Support testing and implementation of new tools or processes.
Cross-Divisional Collaboration
- Work with other departments (e.g., Flight Safety, Ground Operations) to gather data and insights.
- Assist in preparing materials for meetings and presentations with internal stakeholders.
Communication & Documentation
- Help draft internal communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and performance summaries.
- Document findings, methodologies, and recommendations from data analysis and project work.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.
- This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.
- Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:
- Fall 2025 - 1st rotation
- Summer 2026 - 2nd rotation
- Spring 2027 - 3rd rotation
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Engineering, Aviation Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
