About this role:

Wells Fargo seeks a Lead Business Execution Consultant responsible for supporting business management activities for Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Lending Operations, by delivering on a wide range of tasks that contribute to the design and execution of optimal organizational management.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving cross-functional initiatives by conducting data analysis, presenting insights, making recommendations, and collaborating closely with business managers to execute across organizations.

In this role, you will:

  • Head the planning and execution of a variety of operational initiatives and risk / control routines covering workforce management, financials, risk mitigation, efficiency, change management, communications, client / employee experience, and executive level metric reporting.
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of functions / products / organizations, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and drive implementation of those solutions and plans
  • Analyze operational metrics to provide leadership with data driven actionable insights that enable decision making.
  • Structure business problems into clear, actionable plans using data and sound judgment.
  • Build compelling, clear, concise, executive ready, PowerPoint presentation narratives that provide insights, make recommendations, and help align and influence key/executive stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with senior stakeholders and partners to successfully lead program implementation and initiatives cross functionally
  • Drive accountability of leaders across the organization on assigned initiatives, limiting risk exposure, implementing standardized processes, and carrying the team culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead special projects and programs end-to-end, ensuring timely execution and measurable impact
  • Work independently to execute broadly scoped, cross functional business projects / initiatives with a bias toward digital first, automated solutions
  • Continuously identify opportunities for innovative process simplification to complex areas and execute complete implementation across disparate business processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking Business Management experience and/or Lending Operations experience
  • 8+ years of Business, Project, and/or Change Management experience
  • Experience translating business strategies into actionable project roadmaps; proficiency in managing large, multi-year strategic programs via skilled resource and budget management and timeline adherence
  • Intellectually curious, self-directed, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. A self-starter/independent worker who takes initiative to learn, grow, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to build trust across levels and teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational savvy including the ability to work in a matrixed environment and manage multiple competing priorities in a fluid and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, etc. a plus
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and communication skills - able to craft narratives that resonate with senior audiences.
  • Advanced facilitation skills, including ability to drive decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities
  • Independent decision maker able to distill recommendations to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence without authority.
  • Ability to take ownership / accountability for business outcomes, prioritize work, set deadlines, and achieve measurable goals. Lead and operate collaboratively, execution focused, and results oriented
  • Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to draw conclusions and translate findings
  • Demonstrated experience in independently identifying opportunities to improve, identifying root cause(s) of issues, and developing permanent solutions to mitigate risk
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship building, partnering / collaboration, strong ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse global group of critical business partners/stakeholders including senior management
  • Ability to develop operational reporting and perform complex data and trend analysis using advanced Excel techniques
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex concepts to a broad audience resulting in comprehension
