As SOX CoE Senior Manager, you will be responsible for improving and demonstrating internal and external partnerships to assist the team with the annual assessment of ICFR to ensure Nasdaq’s compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

With this position we offer :

Join the Internal Audit SOX Center of Excellence team, the team within Nasdaq that oversees Nasdaq's compliance with the SOX regulation and is responsible for managing the organization’s SOX internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) compliance program.

Your Roles and Responsibilities include :

  • As SOX CoE Senior Manager, you’ll be working with business and IT stakeholders to identify, design, document new and changes to business processes.
  • You’ll collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to design controls, analyze deficiency, determine root causes, drive remediation and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies through automation and use of data analytics.
  • Act as liaison between control/process owners, SOX testing team and external auditors, supporting SOX-related matters and tracking key metrics (i.e: testing, issue/remediation status) and staying abreast of changes in financial reporting regulations to ensure compliance, and effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • The SOX CoE Senior Manager is responsible for improving and demonstrating internal and external partnerships to assist the team with the annual assessment of ICFR to ensure Nasdaq’s compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements/efficiencies through automation and use of data analytics where possible, and collaborate with process owners in the implementation of the solutions.
  • Acting as liaison between the control and process owners with the SOX testing team and the external auditors, i.e. support and advise the SOX process and control owners on SOX related matters, and maintain program key metrics including the status of design, operational testing progress and status of issue/remediation action plans.

We expect you to have :

  • At least 7+ years of experience in Audit, Risk, Technology, or Consulting.
  • Extensive knowledge of internal control framework (i.e: COSO 2013), control design, operational efficiency, and IT infrastructure/ITGCs.
  • Previous SOX experience across business and IT or other comparable risk/control design experience including performing walkthroughs, developing process flowcharts, identifying key controls and test of control approaches, impact analysis on issues including understanding root causes and cross-functional impacts.
  • Experienced in data analytics/dashboards, AI/automation; digitally fluent with passion to understand business and IT systems.
  • Excellent Communication/Collaboration Skills.
  • Detail-oriented/proactive/results-driven, with ability to build trusted relationships.
  • BA/BS in accounting, business administration, information systems or related field.

It would be great if you (Preferred Qualifications) :

  • Have Big 4 public accounting experience with Fortune 500 clients
  • Have CPA/IA/CISA certification
  • Have experience in the financial services and/or technology industries
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel when needed
