Your Role & Scope at SellerX

At SellerX, we’re growing our Tech team and looking for a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to help lay the foundation for a truly data-driven organization. You’ll play a key role in our growing Data team by designing scalable pipelines and building robust data models that generate insights and value across all departments.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll be working closely with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure our data architecture supports fast, reliable, and actionable decision-making.

In Detail, you’ll be hands-on:

• Collaborating with the Data team and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable, performant data pipelines and models
• Designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and warehouse models using dbt and cloud platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery
• Owning and maintaining core data architecture, ensuring reliability, scalability, and long-term reusability
• Driving best practices for data modeling, data governance, and pipeline performance
• Writing clean, production-ready SQL and ensuring high standards for data quality and documentation
• Supporting cross-functional teams by delivering well-structured, business-ready data
• Serving as a local tech point of contact in Manila, supporting collaboration and mentoring as needed

Requirements to thrive in your new role:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Warehouse Engineering
• Hands-on expertise with dbt for modular, production-grade data modeling
• Proficiency with Snowflake and/or BigQuery as core data warehouse environments
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and performance optimization for analytical use cases
• Proficiency in SQL with a focus on maintainability and efficiency
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting or automation
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and represent the data team locally in Manila
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Nice to Have:

• Experience with job orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker)
• Broader programming experience beyond Python
• Exposure to CI/CD practices in data workflows
• Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure management
