Job Title: Cloud Support Engineer (Wind River)

Base Location: Chennai

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Documentation and Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Support Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the Telco Cloud ecosystem, specifically focusing on 4G/5G Open Radio Access Network (ORAN)/vRAN technologies built on the windriver platform. In this role, the candidate is expected to play a critical part in ensuring the success of our customers by providing technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and creating clear, concise documentation for our cutting-edge solutions. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support (TAC)

  • Serve as a point of contact for customers using the Wind River Cloud Platform in O-RAN deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telco cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, virtualization, orchestration layers and ORAN Deployments
  • Work closely with next level support/vendor team to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Document support cases, solutions, and root cause analysis thoroughly in internal systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical support coverage.

Documentation Development and Maintenance:

  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, troubleshooting guides, and release notes for solutions built on the Wind River cloud platform .
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with product releases and updates.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Prerequisites:

  • Qualification – Graduate
  • Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years
  • Desirable qualities:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in in a customer-facing technical support or deployment roles
    • Experience with Wind River Cloud Platform
    • Proficient in Kubernetes, Linux, HELM and container technologies.
    • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
    • Exposure to observability and analytics platforms in telco environments.
    • Experience with scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting (e.g., Python, Ansible, Bash or similar tools)
    • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey intricate technical details clearly and effectively to a diverse audience.
    • Proven ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues, with a logical and methodical approach.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Time management and organizational skills
