The job details are as follows:
Lead the mechanical engineering design and development of 3D print process for hydrogel biomaterials. Support the development of methods to produce 3D printed lung scaffolds that are suitable for cellularization and will include both in-house development and active project management of external partners to meet project milestones. Assist external hardware partners with 3D printer specification, development, verification, and training. Lead print process of new bio-inks and organ designs. Ensure projects are completed on times and within scope. Lead assigned projects with the biomaterial development team to define print process and material requirements. Work closely with preclinical and cell biology end users to develop print process and inks. Design and execute experiments to evaluate 3D printer hardware & software.

Position Location
This position is located fully onsite in our Manchester, New Hampshire office.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
A Ph.D in a Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Field with 12 months of full-time-equivalent experience in the position, or in a related Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Computational Engineering position.
As an alternative a Master’s degree in the same fields with 3 years of the same experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 5 years of the same experience, will be acceptable. Qualifying experience can be gained through research assistant, lab work, and internship roles.
