We are seeking two highly proficient professionals to join our team as an Assurance Readiness Senior Managers on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract. These roles will sit at the heart of a regulatory uplift initiative, helping to formalise and support critical governance forums across the business.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders to bring structure, consistency, and clarity to how we handle and escalate key risks—particularly in areas like customer complaints, sales conduct, vulnerability, and compliance. Your work will help drive a culture of accountability and readiness, ensuring Optus meets the expectations of our customers, regulators, and community.

The day to day:

  • Support senior governance forums through the program assurance function, ensuring alignment to risk governance requirements under the enforceable undertaking. This includes preparing artefacts that enable informed decision-making and structured oversight across the program lifecycle
  • Partner with delivery managers to produce high-quality assurance artefacts across design, delivery, and embedding, ensuring evidence is robust, risk-aligned, and ready for internal audit or external regulatory review
  • Coordinate the full cycle of governance forums—from agenda setting and material preparation to action tracking—ensuring clear traceability and alignment to EU accountabilities
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of decisions, risks, and follow-ups to support a defensible audit trail and drive sustained delivery outcomes
  • Uphold governance discipline across the program, ensuring all artefacts meet documentation, version control, and quality expectations in a highly regulated delivery environment
  • Engage senior stakeholders to ensure forums are well-attended, purposeful, and aligned to accountability frameworks, including clear escalation pathways and issue resolution processes
  • Develop governance packs, issue logs, and supporting documentation that feed into broader assurance activities and support the program’s readiness for independent assurance or regulatory scrutiny

What you’ll bring:

  • Substantial experience in risk roles, chairing and administrating governance forums in highly regulated industries like telco, banking, insurance or finance
  • A sharp eye for detail and thrive in fast-paced, matrixed environments
  • Strong organiser and communicator, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of risk and compliance practices
  • Attention to detail and fastidious record-keeping
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A reputation for being reliable, responsive, and highly meticulous.
