Your responsibilities

We are looking for a senior Project Manager to take full responsibility for all electrical and electronic (E/E) aspects of a major global steering systems project within the automotive area. This role ensures the successful delivery of E/E systems by managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards across the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Main customer contact for all electrical/electronic aspects within the project
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality targets
  • Take ownership of procurement, production launch, and serve as the key interface for customer communication from a project perspective
  • Drive project objectives for all E/E subcomponents
  • Plan milestones and resources, track progress, and report status
  • Coordinate subsystems: electric motor, sensor, ECU, cables, and software
  • Manage interface design and alignment across E/E components
  • Analyze customer specifications and translate into internal requirements
  • Approve specifications and designs for E/E components
  • Implement risk management for E/E scopes
  • Oversee configuration and version management
  • Coordinate design changes and lead technical decisions

Your profile

  • University degree in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics
  • Proven experience in project management and technical leadership in complex electromechanical systems
  • 7+ years of experience in complex automotive project management
  • Ability to manage and deliver on highly demanding technical requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Expertise in problem-solving methodologies: DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, etc.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently
  • Fluency in English is essential, German is an advantage
