Your responsibilities
We are looking for a senior Project Manager to take full responsibility for all electrical and electronic (E/E) aspects of a major global steering systems project within the automotive area. This role ensures the successful delivery of E/E systems by managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards across the entire project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Main customer contact for all electrical/electronic aspects within the project
- Ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, and quality targets
- Take ownership of procurement, production launch, and serve as the key interface for customer communication from a project perspective
- Drive project objectives for all E/E subcomponents
- Plan milestones and resources, track progress, and report status
- Coordinate subsystems: electric motor, sensor, ECU, cables, and software
- Manage interface design and alignment across E/E components
- Analyze customer specifications and translate into internal requirements
- Approve specifications and designs for E/E components
- Implement risk management for E/E scopes
- Oversee configuration and version management
- Coordinate design changes and lead technical decisions
Your profile
- University degree in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics
- Proven experience in project management and technical leadership in complex electromechanical systems
- 7+ years of experience in complex automotive project management
- Ability to manage and deliver on highly demanding technical requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Expertise in problem-solving methodologies: DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, etc.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently
- Fluency in English is essential, German is an advantage
