Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hardware Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in applying Design for Reliability techniques.
  • 4 years of experience in reliability engineering with consumer products.
  • Experience in building and leading testing (e.g., reliability, Quality Control (QC) etc.) and validation efforts to support hardware products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD or Master's degree in Hardware Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in statistical analysis.
  • 2 years of experience in working with manufacturing partners.
  • Experience in developing and qualifying consumer hardware products with various modules built into them, that operate in indoor and outdoor environments.

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in creating new consumer electronic products that meet a high bar for reliability and performance. You will work closely with the product management and design engineering teams to define standards, specify tests, and then supervise test execution and failure analysis. A broad engineering background and command of statistical methods will help to inform design of new products. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be key to ensuring adoption of your technical recommendations. Responsibilities

  • Develop reliability test plans and performance metrics to validate designs and utilize statistical data analysis to characterize product performance.
  • Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and electrical, mechanical, and functional tests and experiments to develop solutions and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Manage resources and projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, organizational implications, and changing circumstances.
  • Drive activity across different functions to provide corrective actions.
  • Contribute to project scoping and manage project priorities and allocation of technical resources within the project.
