Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
In this role, you will stand at the forefront of the most significant decisions our private markets clients face. You will focus on:
GenAI Pre-DD insights (DD Concierge): Conducting research and develop investment theses on assets coming to market using Private Capital (PC) solutions, GenAI tools, and our proprietary Investor Toolkit. This includes building outside-in perspectives by analyzing industry trends, competitive landscapes, and company positioning, drawing from leading methodologies developed by the DD concierge team
Top of the House/Research insights: Supporting Client servicing team (CSTs) on research on top of the house, deal-relevant topics such as fundraising patterns, vintage performance, and target scans. You'll collaborate closely with client service teams, contribute to live deal execution, and shape firm-wide knowledge by applying innovative approaches and staying ahead of market trends through integration with the solution team
Develop and maintain firm assets: Work with leadership to shape the landscape of digital assets and tools across sectors, and you will help to leverage these assets to deliver client proposals and ongoing projects.
Codify and scale knowledge: Transform insights into reusable, structured materials to support consulting teams and expand the practice’s intellectual capital.
In addition to your day-to-day activities with client teams, you will work with practice leaders to identify and support the development of tools and applications for internal and client-related topics. You will also build, maintain, and manage the practice knowledge assets in digital formats.
You will be a part of a dynamic and professional community of colleagues globally that works together to learn, develop, and share best practices.
You will be based in our San Jose office in Costa Rica as a part of the McKinsey Private Capital Client Capabilities Network (CCN) team. McKinsey’s Private Capital practice helps private equity firms make better investment decisions at every stage of the deal life cycle and build greater returns through active management of portfolio companies.
You will work closely with practice leadership and our digital solutions teams to develop and deliver insights for our private market clients, using specialized approaches and supporting our client service teams.
In addition to your day-to-day activities with the client service teams, you will be a part of a dynamic and professional community of colleagues that works together to learn, develop, and share best practices. This role will have a mix of a hybrid/in office working model and has the opportunity for some travel.
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
