A Day in the Life

As an Mechanical Design Engineer II of the MEIC, you will collaborate with the sustenance and engineering teams globally. You will enable Product Development, Medical Devices Design Controls, and Medical Device Regulation activities in close conjunction with the global teams.

As a result, we need an Engineer II who will ensure we deliver the best on-time with high quality for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply knowledge of medical device regulations and support gap assessments and remediation activities.
  • Contribute to product development with a strong understanding of cross-functional engineering disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and achieve project goals.
  • Prepare 2D drawings in compliance with ASME standards, with solid expertise in GD&T.
  • Create and modify 3D CAD models using Creo, including complex assemblies.
  • Analyze design challenges and propose optimal, practical solutions.
  • Perform structural analysis using ANSYS or equivalent FEA tools.
  • Apply engineering calculations and analytical methods to support design decisions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve design and process issues.
  • Work independently under general supervision on moderately complex projects.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Creo (drafting and modeling), with hands-on experience in Windchill, Creo Simulation, and Creo Mechanism.
  • Solid understanding of medical device regulations, including IEC 60601, ISO 22442, and FDA guidance.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
  • Experience in concept development, prototyping, and benchmark testing.
  • Proficient in GD&T with a good grasp of tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Experience with ANSYS or equivalent FEA tools.
